How it works

Four steps — lock input, clean safely, unlock when you are done.

Open the menu bar

Click the lock icon in the menu bar.

Start cleaning

Start Cleaning Mode when you are ready to wipe.

Clean safely

Wipe your keyboard, trackpad, and screen without accidental input.

Exit when done

Unlock with Touch ID, your shortcut (default ⌃⇧⌘K), or the on-screen button.

Requires macOS 14.0 (Sonoma) or later. Accessibility permission (Events) is required to lock keyboard input. Touch ID is optional.
